Article 81: “Unpacking Physical Literacy” Webinar Offers Insight into Inclusive and Cross-Sectoral Approaches

The webinar “Unpacking Physical Literacy”, held on 9 April 2025, concluded successfully, offering an engaging and thought-provoking exploration of the evolving concept of physical literacy. Organised by UCLan Cyprus and supported by the International Physical Literacy Association (IPLA) and INQUIRIUM, the session brought together professionals from education, sport, health, and youth sectors.

The featured speaker, Mr Nigel Green, Chair of the IPLA, delivered a comprehensive presentation covering global physical literacy frameworks, inclusive and empowering principles, and the broad applicability of physical literacy across different fields. He addressed pressing themes such as personalised learning, embodied knowledge, and the challenges and opportunities of assessment in this dynamic area. Attendees gained valuable insights into how physical literacy can support lifelong physical activity and well-being, while fostering inclusive and adaptive educational environments. The webinar was organised as part of the ePhyLi Erasmus+ Sport project (project number: 101089928), which focuses on promoting physical literacy across Europe.
