Article 80: ACT-AI Academy project launches to support teachers in ethical AI integration in Education

INQUIRIUM is pleased to announce its participation as a partner in the newly launched ACT-AI Academy project — the European Academy for Teachers’ Skills and Competencies Development for an Effective AI Integration in Education. The initiative officially commenced with an online kick-off meeting on 2 April 2025, bringing together a highly qualified consortium of universities, research centres, and technology providers from across Europe.

Funded under the Erasmus+ Teacher Academies call, the ACT-AI Academy project responds to the urgent need to equip educators with the skills, knowledge, and confidence required to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into teaching and learning environments responsibly and effectively. The project will focus on developing training programmes, tools, and guidelines that promote ethical, inclusive, and pedagogically sound uses of AI in education. By empowering teachers with these competencies, the project seeks to enhance both teaching practices and student learning outcomes, while ensuring that the integration of AI in classrooms supports broader educational goals and values.

The online launch meeting provided an opportunity for partners to align on the project’s objectives, roles, and roadmap. The collaborative spirit of the consortium was clearly evident, setting a strong foundation for the work ahead.

We are excited to contribute to this important initiative and look forward to sharing developments and outputs with the wider educational community.
