Exciting news! Our article titled ‘Does Physical Activity Mediate the Associations between Physical Literacy and Mental Health during the COVID-19 Post-Quarantine Era among Adolescents in Cyprus?’ is now published in the Youth journal by @MDPIOpenAccess.
In this paper, we have explored the importance of physical literacy and its influence on the mental health of adolescents in Cyprus, especially in the context of the COVID-19 post-quarantine period. Our findings suggest that physical activity significantly mediates the relationship between physical literacy and mental health, highlighting the need to encourage physical activity among adolescents for enhanced mental wellbeing.
Also, gender differences in depression, anxiety, and stress levels, were identified with a significant and negative correlation found between physical literacy and these factors.
Our findings underline the importance of developing strategies to bolster physical literacy and increase physical activity among Cypriot adolescents.
