The 3rd transnational meeting of STEM SPORTS Education project was a great success!

The 3rd transnational partners’ meeting was held on the 8th of May in Alghero, Italy, organised by our partners from ASD Sport Compass.

The focus of the meeting was to finalise the STEM Sports Learning Toolkit, the student materials, the teachers’ guides, and the multilingual educational tools. The partnership is also focusing on finalising the Train-the-Trainers programme to support upcoming local pilot activities across Belgium, Spain, Cyprus and Italy over the next few months.

Moreover, from the 6th to the 7th of May, INQUIRY FUSE, represented by our Project Manager, Vasilia Philippou, participated in an intensive Train-the-Trainers activity in Alghero.

Throughout the event, participants stepped into the roles of active investigators and problem-solvers, experiencing innovative modules that merge science and movement. Highlights included:

  • Tech Track: Our Project Manager presented this module, which explores biomechanics, force, and acceleration through athletics.
  • Investigating physics and muscle fatigue through the lens of cycling and shot put.
  • Connecting environmental sustainability with inclusive sport and STEM learning.
  • Linking athletics with scientific investigation in real-world community settings.

The training maintained a strong focus on inclusivity, empowering trainers to take these interdisciplinary practices back to schools and non-formal learning environments across Europe.
