On 16 April 2026, Inquiry Fuse continued its commitment to promoting equity and social cohesion through its participation in the Hearts & Hands Transnational Project Meeting. Our Project Manager, Vasilia Philippou, travelled to Graz, Austria to collaborate with international partners on developing innovative solutions for inclusive education.
A primary focus of the proceedings was the exploration of innovative materials from the SILENT project. Partners engaged in deep discussions on how these resources can be effectively adapted across different national contexts to boost both digital and social literacies. By capitalising on these research outcomes, the project aims to empower educators and families with tools that are both practical and culturally relevant.
In a truly participatory session, utilising the co-design techniques the consortium worked to refine the Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) toolkit. This interactive resource is being specifically designed to support parents of Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) children. The toolkit provides:
- Practical strategies for emotional regulation and social engagement.
- Educational games designed for holistic cognitive and social development.
- Empowerment tools to help parents make informed decisions regarding their child’s well-being.
We extend our sincere thanks to our hosts, Verein Interaktion, and our partners KMOP, Ceangal, and Tilburg University (Tranzo) for their shared commitment to driving meaningful societal and educational change. Follow the project’s journey: https://heartsandhands.eu/
