The ACT-AI project — European Academy for Teachers’ Skills and Competencies Development for an Effective AI Integration in Education — was officially launched with an inspiring kick-off meeting held on 23–24 June 2025. The event brought together a dynamic consortium of 14 partner organisations from across Europe, each committed to exploring how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be meaningfully and responsibly integrated into educational systems.
With education rapidly evolving in the digital age, the ACT-AI project aims to equip teachers with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to harness the potential of AI in the classroom. The initiative will focus on creating personalised, inclusive, and ethically grounded learning experiences, while also addressing the challenges posed by emerging technologies.
The energy and collaboration at the launch meeting laid a strong foundation for the work ahead. Over the course of the project, partners will develop a comprehensive framework and training academy for educators, along with resources and policy recommendations to support the effective and responsible use of AI in teaching and learning.
