Article 73: Kicking Off the BREAKS Project in Cyprus

The first coordination meeting of the BREAKS project took place on January 23–24, 2025, in Nicosia, Cyprus, hosted by INQUIRIUM Ltd. Partners from all participating institutions gathered to align on the project’s objectives and plan upcoming activities.

Discussions focused on the development of the BREAKS training package, which aims to equip teachers with practical tools to integrate active breaks into their classrooms. Plans were also made to digitalise the training program and create a virtual teacher community. The team reviewed the dissemination strategy to ensure wide visibility and impact. The next phase will focus on finalising the training materials, piloting them in schools, and sharing outcomes with educators and policymakers across Europe.

The project is coordinated by the University of Patras, with partners including INQUIRIUM Ltd, University of Niš, Faculty of Sport and Physical Education, Stimmuli for Social Change, University of Rome “Foro Italico”, and Infinitivity Design Labs.

We are excited to continue this work and bring the benefits of active breaks to classrooms.
