We are thrilled to announce the publication of our latest paper titled “Health and Wellbeing of Cypriot pupils: The need for change and Physical Education teachers to embrace Physical Literacy in the curriculum” in the book Quality Physical Education in Active School and its Perspectives by FIEPS.
The study highlights the urgent need for change in Physical Education (PE) in Cyprus. While PE teachers show a willingness to improve traditional practices, a lack of support poses significant barriers to progress.
The authors advocate for the adoption of Physical Literacy, a holistic framework that promotes lifelong and meaningful engagement in physical activity. This approach could significantly enhance the overall health and well-being of young people in Cyprus.
