Article 126: STEM Pathways project Kicks Off

We are happy to announce the official launch of our new Erasmus+ project, STEM Pathways: Bringing STEM closer to girls, which kicked off with a productive meeting at the Impact HUB Bucharest on the 15th of January 2026, in which our Director, Dr. Olia Tsivitanidou, represented our team.

Despite years of progress, the “gender gap” in technical fields remains a stark reality across the European Union. Current data shows that women represent only 18% of the ICT workforce and just 36% of STEM graduates.

STEM Pathways identifies a critical, often overlooked factor in this equation: the family. By focusing on parents and families as the primary influencers in a child’s life, the project aims to dismantle deep-seated gender stereotypes and empower parents to actively champion their daughters’ interest in STEM from a young age.

INQUIRY FUSE is proud to lead the Development of the Digital Capacity Building Programme. Leveraging our expertise in instructional design and digital pedagogies, we are driving the creation of an online learning course for parents, introducing them to the word of STE(A)M, their importance and how they, as parents, can assist in increasing their daughters’ interest in STE(A)M. This will be accompanied with a STE(A)M Toolkit featuring 12 interactive, non-formal activities designed for parents to implement at home with their daughters.

By the end of this project, we aim to reach over 10,000 individuals across the EU to foster a more inclusive and diverse future for STEM. Stay tuned for more about our new project!
