ViRaLes VR pilot activity completed with the Cyprus Fire Service

On 15th July, INQUIRY FUSE, in collaboration with Frederick University, successfully conducted a pilot training activity with the Cyprus Fire Service within the framework of the European Erasmus+ project, ViRaLes.

During this session, our team presented the project’s new educational platform and demonstrated a specialised Virtual Reality (VR) scenario engineered specifically for responding to industrial fires.

Why ViRaLes is a game changer in Emergency Training?

Traditional training for security forces and emergency service personnel is frequently constrained by high financial costs, significant logistical demands, and exposure to genuine physical dangers. VR technology overcomes these limitations by creating a safe, highly realistic, and interactive simulation environment.

Therefore, frontline professionals can repeatedly practise complex, high-risk industrial fire scenarios with zero physical danger. Interactive simulations help emergency personnel hone critical decision-making abilities and life-saving operational skills under pressure. Grounded in research-backed educational technology, the ViRaLes platform establishes a new standard for non-formal professional development in safety and emergency response.

Through collaborative projects like ViRaLes, INQUIRY FUSE continues to drive innovation in emerging educational technologies, empowering citizens and specialized workforces with future-ready skills.
