Over the past few weeks, our team has had the wonderful opportunity to bring our interactive steam modules to two different summer programmes in Dali. Through these creative workshops, young students became researchers for a day, diving into the wonders of the universe.
On the 24th of June, our team visited the Summer School of the Parents’ Association of the 3rd Dali Primary School for a creative STEAM workshop. On the 6th of July, we joined the summer school at the Children’s Development Centre (Paidiko Steki Anaptyxis), organised by SKE Dali. All children in both summer schools became young researchers for the day and explored space through our activity: “STEAM & Space: Discovering the Phases of the Moon”.
Following our main teaching approach, the workshop focused on inquiry-based learning. Instead of just listening to facts, the children took charge of their own learning. They worked together in teams. They investigated how the Earth, Moon, and Sun move together. They designed and built their own models to show how the Moon changes shape.
The children’s amazing participation, curiosity, and energy were wonderful to see. Moments like these remind us why we love helping the next generation develop scientific thinking and practical life skills. We would like to extend our warmest thanks to both the Summer School of the Parents’ Association of the 3rd Dali Primary School and to Paidiko Steki Anaptyxis, SKE Dali for these wonderful collaborations.
This is only the start. Keep an eye out for more workshops and activities coming up this July and August!
