On the 10th of July 2026 we held an amazing evening workshop with the PASCAL International Summer Camp in Nicosia with the title “Discovering the phases of the moon and exploring our Solar System through Virtual Reality!”
This summer workshop was an exciting learning experience, combining astronomy, practical investigation, and the use of Virtual Reality (VR) technology. Through our VR headsets, the children travelled beyond Earth to explore the planets, compare their characteristics, observe planetary motion, and experience the immense scale of our Solar System in a way that simply cannot be achieved in a traditional classroom.
This activity beautifully combined Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) through inquiry-based learning. It promoted curiosity, observation, spatial reasoning, collaboration, and critical thinking, all while introducing the children to emerging educational technologies.
