The “11 for Health” project uses football as a tool to improve children’s physical fitness, mental and social well-being, and overall health awareness. Aimed at combating childhood obesity and sedentary lifestyles, the project combines non-formal education, football-based exercises, and collaborative efforts between schools, football clubs, and sports institutions. It includes research, training sessions, and educational campaigns to promote healthy habits and cross-border cooperation, ultimately aiming to create lasting positive lifestyle changes among schoolchildren across Europe.
11 for Health aims to:
O1: Promote and give a better health profile, physical fitness, mental and social well-being, and greater health awareness through football training.
O2: Encouraging a healthy lifestyle for all and supporting the promotion of sport and physical activity as a tool for health.
O3: Develop and disseminate high-quality, video-based content and a comprehensive digital handbook that present the 11 for Health concept in an accessible and practical format, thereby supporting coaches, school teachers, and sports professionals in effectively integrating the programme into their daily educational and training activities.
